A big question for me: how can I activate the automatic-air-recirculation on my Passat 3BG ?

Some Polo and some Golf IV has a function that in REVERESE the Climatronic automatically insert the air-recirculation

This function is present in my car, and if yes how can I activate it ?

Your Climatronic must have a button with an arrow. Push it.

I think that the recirculation mode is activated only in manual way.
So you have to press the below botton on the left.

I've read in some forums that the automatic air recirculation exists and will start automatically when the car is in reverse.

The scope is to not allow the exaust gas to come in the car.

Because some other VW car, like Polo, has this function I think that also the Passat MUST have it too.

Hi Enry68, you are right, that function exists, but only few cars have it, and there is a button with the recirculation symbol, with an "A" inscribed. Anyway, in the models about before 3-4 years ago, we haven´t the automatic air recirculation. That is just for the high base cars, Audi A6 and similar. I own a Golf IV, and my Climatronic does not work with thah funcion, but if you investigate and find something, let us know enry!
